Clarinet Miguel Fernández de la Peña - Madrid, SPAIN continues work on developing the Suzuki Method for Clarinet which now includes Sax- ophone. It is hoped that a workshop for Clarinet and Saxophone teachers on the Suzuki Method can be organised. Violin-Mandolin Conversion The Mandolin Conversion course has been extended with exams being rearranged when trainees are ready. CHANGES to ESA TEACHER TRAINING & EXAMINATIONS MANUAL SUMMARY OF CHANGES The following additions and amendments are for correction, clarification, instrument specific or proposed by the Instrument Committee Chairpersons. Examination Descriptors Examiners put forward a check list to en- sure that the standard for a 'Pass' was con- sistent throughout the region. See page 10 Organising a Teacher Training Course Teacher Trainers who organise their own Independent Courses asked for guidelines on putting together a Teacher Training Course which are also useful for National Courses. See page 17 Instructor Applications The Instrument Committees put forward proposals for additions to the application ESA ANNUAL MEETINGS The ESA is taking its Annual Meetings around the region to a different country every year. The Board of the ESA are keen to have the opportunity to invite each National Suzuki Association and its members to: - attend the AGM - organise a student’s concert - meet the ESA Directors The ESA Administrator will work closely with the National Suzuki Association to select a venue and organise the meetings and concert.
