European Suzuki Association - Teachers Newsletter Vol 38 2018

9 2019 European Suzuki Recorder Teachers’ Convention UK Nancy Daly T he European Suzuki Recorder Teachers’ Convention will be held in the lovely Broadmoor Val- ley, Surrey, England and will run from Friday evening 12 April to Sun- day afternoon 14 April 2019. This event has been timed to be immediately before the British Su- zuki Institute National Workshop in London, UK and it is hoped that all Suzuki Recorder Teachers in the ESA region will be able to attend. The aim of the Convention is pri- marily to set a solid agenda for the further establishment and expan- sion of the Recorder as a Suzuki instrument throughout Europe. This is a serious agenda but, in be- tween the hard work, there will be plenty of opportunity for enjoying time together, making music and experiencing the delightful Surrey countryside. Accommodation and meals will be provided at a minimal cost, and transport from Dorking Station can be arranged as necessary. The nearest airport is Gatwick, London and there is a direct train from there to Dorking. For those coming to other London airports, there are direct trains from Victoria or Waterloo stations in London to Dorking.
